Sophie harding

Sophie Graduated from Central Saint Martins in 1992 with BA hons in Fashion and Textile Design. After leaving college she worked full time as a painter, illustrator and textile designer creating best-selling images for cards, gift wraps, homewares, magazine and book illustrations, both for the UK and worldwide. Clients have included Marks and Spencer, Ladybird Books, The Art Group, Artist’s Cards Ltd, Dunoon and The Cornish Bakery.

Sophie’s work is focussed on simplicity, joy and harmony. She captures the simple joys in life by painting the essence of a scene or group of objects. Her paintings are primarily driven by colour with an emphasis on the power colour has to evoke positive emotions.

Sophie lives in Penzance and works in a studio on Chapel Street.
