A Cornish gallery and the G7’

Here at the Summerhouse gallery in Marazion various opportunities come up, and one such was to provide @carbisbayestate with artwork for their beachside restaurant and lodges.

The two artists chosen by the hotel are @kitjohnsartist and @katerichardsonartist . Kits environmentally aware artwork, (using flotsam found on the shore) were specifically chosen for the summit. Kits work was loved so much by the hotel it was purchased by them and sits in the beachside cocktail bar overlooking the white sands of Carbis bay. A powerful artwork reminding us of how fragile our oceans are.

Kate Richardson’s dynamic abstract paintings, inspired by our coastline have been chosen to sit in the beachside restaurant. Using texture in her mixed media work and seams of gold and copper running through , Kates work has echoes of Cornwalls rich mining history on display for the world to see.

We're absolutely thrilled for Kit and Kate, two of the most exciting artists in Cornwall. Contemporary Cornish Art on show for the world to see. Both Kit and Kates work will be showcased in our ‘TEN’ show this summer. You can find out more about the show in this months edition of @mycornwall
